Interesting Fact - In ancient Egypt it was used as a cosmetic and was probably the first ‘eyeliner’. The resin was charred and then used to decorate around the eyes. It was called Kohl.
Frankincense (Carterii) Essential Oil has a medium-strength balsamic, warm, slightly spicy, sweet, and woody aroma. A beautiful incense-like smell.
The diffused aroma of this spiritual oil brings calm to the mind and aids to dispel anxiety. Our Somalian Frankincense carterii is often used to enhance deep meditation and support emotional healing.
Frankincense can also be used as a wonderful skin oil. It is rejuvenating and restorative and specifically useful for older, more mature skin.

Apply Topically: Our Frankincense essential oil is 100% pure and undiluted. For topical application, dilute with a high-quality Carrier Oil. Please refer to our recommended dilution chart here.
We recommend performing a skin patch test when using a new essential oil topically for those with sensitive skin.
Diffuse: Breathe in the scent of Frankincense essential oil using a diffuser. Diffuse 2-3 drops or more in an essential oil diffuser.

Boost your skin and hair care products with the following recipes:-
Face Mask
Make a thick paste of your Veda Glow with yoghurt or water, add 2 drops of frankincense, mix and Store in fridge to use within the week
Body Oil and Lotion
Add 12 drops of Frankincense to 30ml of Potions Body Oil or your own Body Lotion, shake well and use as usual
Hair Mask or Shampoo
Add 9 - 20 drops to 30ml or your Emerald Elixir or Lime Sublime Shampoo or a combination to make a kickass hair mask. Apply to scalp and hair and wash off
Yoga Practice
The next time you practice yoga (or any stretching exercises at home), diffuse 6-10 drops of Frankincense Essential Oil. It helps to uplift your spirit, while making you feel grounded in the moment.
